Committees

Conference Committee
Chooses the theme and content of the annual conference. Routinely meets via conference call every other Tuesday.
Education Committee
Develops and implements educational programs for members and others involved in the legal marketing field. Routinely meets via conference call on the third Wednesday of the month.
Finance Committee
 
Membership Committee
Establishes tools and best practices for the recruitment, renewal and retention of its members and programs designed to stimulate growth in all membership categories. Provides support to LMA chapters and members at large in all these areas.
Nominating Committee
Solicits and considers nominations for the LMA International Board of Directors. Submits a slate of qualified candidates and platform proposals to LMA membership. Chaired by the Immediate Past President. Committee membership consists of Past Presidents, a member at large and a representative from the Chapter President's committee. Nominating committee members are not eligible to run for office or board positions.
Research Task Force
Provides support, consultation and project management to other board committees and chapters in the defining, scoping and conducting of research initiatives.
Resources Committee
Responsible for adding value to the association through the development and delivery of new, dynamic and practical resources. Current initiatives include distance learning, online surveys, thought leadership products, virtual roundtables, and white papers
Sponsor Relations Committee
Builds better communications between the companies that provide products and services to the legal marketing community. Develops guidelines to closely integrate sponsors with the association.
Strategic Alliances Committee
The Strategic Alliances Committee identifies, assesses, pursues and recommends relationships and negotiated agreements with reputable law and marketing-related organizations and associations—both domestic and international—providing members access to additional resources. The committee proactively encourages, monitors, facilitates, manages and reports on these relationships to ensure continued mutual benefit, and in collaboration with other LMA committees. Routinely meets via conference call on the third Wednesday of each month.
Strategies Editorial Board
Determines, supervises and facilitates content of LMA's monthly publication, Strategies: The Journal of Legal Marketing. Identifies opportunities for additional revenue and content distribution, and oversees the work of the managing editor.
Technology Committee
Directs the use of technology that supports membership communications and resources. The LMA web site and LMA listserv are key responsibilities of the committee. Additionally, the committee monitors the content of the listserv for compliance with contributor guidelines and repurposes member contributions to other content areas. The committee is also charged with identifying technical developments in communications and education that will enhance LMA member benefits.
