At our 2007 annual conference in Atlanta, LMA celebrated its impressive more-than-two-decade history by establishing the Hall of Fame/Lifetime Achievement Awards. The Hall of Fame was conceived to recognize individuals who have made extraordinary contributions, both to our profession and to our professional association. As grateful recipients of that recognition in 2007 and 2008, we have been asked to chair the 2009 committee that will select the 2009 Hall of Fame honorees and acknowledge them at our annual conference April 1-4, 2009.

We invite you to nominate someone who, in your estimation, represents the highest levels of experience and leadership in legal marketing, and who has made contributions that have benefited our industry, LMA, and its community of professionals. LMA members in good standing* who have been actively involved in the profession for a minimum of 15 years are eligible for selection.

Recipients of the LMA Hall of Fame/Lifetime Achievement Awards will be selected based on the following criteria:

1. Professional Experience and Capability 
2. Advancement of the Profession
3. Service as a Role Model
4. Contribution to LMA

Each year up to five nominees are eligible for inclusion in the Hall of Fame. According to the rules governing Hall of Fame membership, nominees from the previous year who were not inducted automatically are reconsidered a second year, so their advocates do not need to resend their nominations.

Nominations are due Monday, January 5, 2009, so you have two months in which to select your nominees and present the case for naming them to the Hall of Fame.
