THE REVOLUTION IS COMING...WHERE WILL YOUR FIRM BE WHEN IT ARRIVES?
JULY 2008 LUNCH PROGRAM
Some say that law firms are doing a great job -- and increasing costs are simply a matter of markets and economics. Indeed, many firms have had banner years. Since firms are billing it, and clients are paying it, is everything really OK? Can firms continue to simply raise rates, revenues per partner and associate pay without any corresponding increase in the value of their services or level of client satisfaction?
This insightful program, featuring Susan Hackett, General Counsel of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), will include a discussion with top in-house lawyers to discuss ACC's "value challenge" -- new efforts in 2008 to support the in-house bar in their desire to identify best practices and law firm business models that are more capable of supporting innovative provision of legal services to 21st-century companies.
Panelists Include:
- Susan Hackett, General Counsel of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC)
-
Michael Roster, chair of ACC's "Value Challenge" steering committee; former chair of the ACC board; former general counsel to Stanford University and Golden West Financial; and former managing partner of Morrison & Foerster (LA)
-
Michael J. Shpizner, vice president and general counsel of Fujitsu America, Inc.
- Others T.B.A.
